Natalie Givans on “Cyber Security in Healthcare” (7 minutes 49 seconds)
Based
in Herndon, Virginia, Booz Allen Hamilton Senior Vice President Natalie Givans
has over 26 years of experience in system security engineering, Cyber security,
information and mission assurance, and communications, information, and
transmission security. Natalie is a senior leader in the firm’s Cyber
Technology Center of Excellence.
Natalie
is a member of the Booz Allen Excellence Awards Committee and the Women's
Leadership Initiative. She was
named Engineer of the Year by the District of Columbia Council of Engineering
and Architectural Societies for 2009.
Natalie
is the Chair of the Board of Directors for AFCEA International. She has been a member for 25 years,
serving in a variety of roles including member of the Board of the Educational
Foundation, member of the Board of the Building Services Corporation, and
director of the Board of Directors. She is also a member of the MIT Alumni Association Board of Directors,
serving on the Finance Committee and establishing an Ad Hoc committee on
Energy, Environment, and Sustainability. She is also the firm's Partner Sponsor for the MIT Industrial Liaison
Program, the Society of Women Engineers and its Corporate Partnership Council,
and the Girl Scouts of America including the Making the Connection
program. She was the first Partner
sponsor for the firm's Parent's Forum. She is the Pack Committee Chair for Cub Scout Pack 673.

Kathleen Dyer on “Healthcare IT Challenges” (7 minutes 26 seconds)
Kathleen Dyer is Vice President and Chief Information
Officer at Adventist Healthcare. At Adventist Healthcare, she leads IT strategic planning and enterprise
architecture management, IT capital planning and portfolio management, IT
workforce planning, information security management, and oversight of all IT functions. She is a member of the executive team
at Adventist Healthcare and is actively engaged in performance excellence, and policy,
standards, and guidance development. She currently co-leads an enterprise wide clinical and business
transformation program that will position the organization for the challenges
of the early 21st century.
Previously, Ms. Dyer led the Technical Architecture Working
Group for the Montgomery County Health Information Exchange Program. She is a
member of the Maryland Health Information Management Systems Society and is a
participant with the Maryland Health Care Commission Policy and Standards
Working Group. She is also a member of The American University’s Information
Technology Advisory Council as well as a member of the Montgomery County Business
Roundtable for Education and serves on the Board of Directors for Healthy
Women.Org.
Ms. Dyer has over 35 years of professional
experience, 30 of them in key management positions. She holds a Master of Science in Information Technology from
The American University in Washington, DC. She has received several awards and recognition during her
career including the Hammer Award for re-inventing government, the Women’s
Business Center – Outstanding Leadership in Technology Award, the Alpha Kappa
Alpha Sorority – Outstanding Woman in Technology Award, and the Rotary
International – Paul Harris Fellow among several others.

Bob Schatz on “Learning and Leadership” (6 minutes 23 seconds)
Bob is Owner, Senior Consultant and Advisor at Agile Infusion, LLC. He is a 30-year veteran of the IT industry and a leader in successfully implementing agile development techniques, such as Scrum and XP, and driving culture changes in organizations. He was the VP that led the successful transition at Primavera Systems beginning in 2002 which was featured in a number of industry articles. He now works with companies around the world helping them successfully adopt a variety of improvement strategies.
